Happening at Kiss the Cook: The Day of Giving

As a small business we rely on the support of the local community.  We need customers to be willing to come out and shop local.
So this year a number of the businesses in downtown Burlington are working together to try to give back and help improve the community that we get so much support from.
This year for the first time the Church Street Marketplace is promoting the Day Of Giving on Friday December 16th.  We're one of 19 businesses who have committed to donating 10% of our sales on that day to support a local charity.  The businesses nominated 5 organizations, and let the community vote on the recipient of the donation, and this year we'll be donating to the Committee On Temporary Shelter (COTS)

On top of the donation we'll be offering a cookware trade-in! Anyone who brings in an old piece of cookware or cutlery will receive a coupon for 20% off a new item. We'll then do our best to revive the old piece and donate to a household who could use it.

We're excited to be participating in the Day of Giving, and hope that we can continue to find ways to work with the other area businesses to find ways to make a positive impact on our community!
