Chill Out:

Hot summer days call for some cool refreshing treats.  If you're looking for something to sip on, this recipe for Strawberry Basil Shrub, can be mixed with club soda (and perhaps some liquor if you're in the mood!) for a delightful summertime beverage.
Ice Cream is always treat on a hot summer day and nothing beats it when its fresh and homemade. Use seasonal summer fruits for either Peach Ice Cream, or Strawberry Ice Cream! We love how easy it is with the Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker!
Making Ice Cream can take little while, so just to be safe, you should always have some of these RazWatermelon Pops ready to go in your freezer!
Looking for something please at a party? Booze pops are always a crowd-pleaser and either this recipe for Cosmo Pops or this for Marg Pops are refreshing and fun!  And whether you want fun shapes, or something simple & classic, our selection of pop molds from Zoku are great!

Another one of our favorite summer recipes is this Pepper Dip! Its served cold, and its full of delicious flavors--a great starter before any summer meal!

On the Side:
Looking for some tasty sides for that summer cookout?  Things you can make in advance and pull out of the fridge when its time to eat are nice and easy like this Summer Quinoa Salad from one of our favorite Vermont cookbooks.  We also love this Broccoli Salad, or put a new twist on a cookout classic with this Pesto Potato Salad.  If you have the time to cook something up, this Cherry Tomato Zucchini Crisp is a treat (particularly later in the summer when both items are in season!)
