The holiday season is upon us. It's a time for many different things, but most importantly it's a time to reflect on what's important and to let those we love know just how much we care about them. So, in the spirit of the season, I'd like to talk about the OXO Angled Measuring Cup.
With all of these gadgets we carry sometimes I lose sight of how much I love some of my most useful items.
For example, it's easy to get enamored with an item that's designed specifically for slicing watermelon, because its so creative. However, when I was making popovers this past weekend, I was measuring a cup of milk. As I was pouring the milk I realized how much I take for granted my OXO Angled Measuring Cup. I use this product almost daily, and I've forgotten what things were like before I got this measuring cup!
In my opinion, OXO is great at looking at things we use regularly and figuring out how to make them better. If you have a cup you regularly use for measuring fluids, you've definitely done one of these two things: (1) you hold the cup up to your eyes and pour from there and hope that your keeping the cup level enough the the measuring lines are accurate OR (2) you place the cup on the counter and bend down with your whatever you're pouring above your head so you can see the lines on the side of your measuring cup. Now picture that in your head...its pretty ridiculous. The "angle" on the OXO Angled Measuring Cups is the slanted measuring line inside the cup. This allows you to place the cup on the counter and pour--just like your pouring milk, or juice, or anything else you might pour every day. I know it sounds simple, but that's cause it is. It's also brilliant; now you can simultaneously look at what you're pouring, where you're pouring it, and see how much you're pouring!
