New Meal Monday: Frozen Strawberry Margarita

Strawberries are in season here in Vermont, so we thought we'd try a fun frozen strawberry cocktail!
Margaritas are great drinks for hot summer days, so we thought we'd put a fresh berry twist on a classic!
You can buy frozen strawberries, but we wanted to use fresh, local berries so we bought them at a farmstand and froze them in the morning (if possible freeze them on a sheet pan or try to keep them flat to avoid them freezing in clumps).  We also used a lime and a strawberry to garnish the rim of the glass. This simple recipe can be doubled if your making them for a group!

What you'll need:

  • 3 Cups frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 Cup Tequila
  • 2 ounces lime juice
  • 1/4 Cup Triple Sec
  • 2 Cups ice

How you'll do it:

  1. Combine ingredients in blender.
  2. Blend.
  3. Enjoy!
